      Passed away peacefully at Nithview Community, New Hamburg on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. George was born in Ghent, Belgium 98 years ago, a son of the late Henry Lootens and former Augusta Mettenanxt.

      Beloved husband of Willemina Lootens of Baden., Ontario. Loving father of Anna-Marie Atto (Hikmat) of Farmington Hills, Michigan; Rose-Marie Kollmorgen (Donald) of Cedarburg, Wisconsin; Jerry Lootens (Madeleine) of Troy, Michigan; and step father of David Van Vlymen (Sandra) of Baden; Randy Van Vlymen (Ingrid) of Huntsville; and Chris Van Vlymen (Joanne) of Durham.

      Dear grandpa of Carolyn Kidder, Katherine Atto, Paul Kollmorgen, Heide Young and step-grandpa to Jessica Van Vlymen, Wesley Van Vlymen, Rachel Van Vlymen, Laura Van Vlymen, Crystal Van Vlymen, Jesse Van Vlymen, and Josie Van Vlymen; as well as many great-grandchildren.

      Loving brother of Andre Lootens (Diana) of Harelbeke, Belgium.

      George was predeceased by his first wife, Elisabeth Looten (nee Vande Wiele), and sisters Marie-Jose Beirnaert and Georgette Van Holsbeke.
