  OLD PIONEER LAID TO REST WILLIAM KENNEDY DIES SUDDENLY N HIS NINETIETH YEAR Relatives and friends of William Kennedy received a severe shock when they were notified of his sudden death on Sunday. The late Mr. Kennedy enjoyed the best of health. He was born at Winterbourne in April 1835, and next month would have reached the age of 90 years. His parents arrived in this country from Aberdeen, Scotland. The late Mr. Kennedy was a farmer all his life, between Waterloo and Peel until about 18 years ago when he retired and with his family moved to Elmira. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, three sons and four daughters: John, Kitchener; Anthony and Addison near Elmira; Kate near Elmira; Jamina and Maggie at home, and Mrs. William S. Schneider, Kitchener. One sister, Mrs. Reid, Kitchener, also survives. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the house to the Gale Presbyterian Church for services thence to the Union Cemetery for burial. Rev. M. Bartlett conducted the funeral services.
