  The news was received last Tuesday of the death of Mr. William Sylander of Kitchener, who was killed near Listowel. Mr. Sylander formerly resided in this village. Waterloo Chronicle 8 Oct 1931, p. 2 ________________ FARMER HELD ON SERIOUS CHARGE; $3,000 BAIL Thomas Costello. of Monkton, appeared before Magistrate J. A. Makins in police court on Saturday. charged with criminal negligence. the aftermath of a fatal accident near Mitchell. Tuesday night, Sept. 29. He elected trial by jury and was released on bail of $3,000, Costello was driving a hay rock without a light when a car crashed into the rear of the rack, on the Mitchell-Kennicott highway.
