  WILLIAM SYLANDER There passed away on Saturday his late residence in Kitchener, aged 60 years, following an extended illness. Deceased was born in Brunslau, Germany, on May 8, 1863, coming to Canada in 1906. For the past nine years he had been a resident of Kitchener and was employed at the Dominion Tire factory for seven years. He is survived by a sorrowing widow and one son, William, at home. Deceased was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church and belonged to the Woodmen of the World lodge. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from the residence to the East End Lutheran cemetery for interment Waterloo Chronicle 28 Jun 1923, p. 3
