  GOFTON, Alfred Schneider - Died November 19, 1985, in his 96th year. He was the only son of Elizabeth Schneider and Roger Gofton. Predeceased by his wife, Charlotte Braun in 1979. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul I. Dalseg (Eleanor) of Sault Ste. Marie, Mr. and Mrs. Cyril A. Fry (Marion) of Gravenhurst, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Allison (Jerene) of Brampton, Dr. and Mrs. John R. Augustine (Annette) of Thunder Bay and by his dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served in the Canadian Army overseas until 1919 and was employed in the Engineering Department of J. M. Schneider Ltd. until his 82nd year. The family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Thursday, Nov. 21 (today) from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Friday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kitchener, Ont. KITCHENER-WATERLOO RECORD Thursday, November 21, 1985 __________________ Right Hand Badly Torn. Fifteeen Stitches Were Put in Painful Experience of Alfred S. Gofton On Saturday, Alfred S. Gofton, aged fifteen, the son of Mr. R. F. Gofton, both emploed at Mr. J. Kaufman's planing mills, experience a painful accident which will lay him off duty for some time. He was cleaning the rollers at the rear of one of the machines, and in doing so, his right hand was caught between the revolving bars, the fleshy part of the hand from the wrist to the base of the fingers being almost entirely tore off.
