- William E. Cassell
William E. Cassel of 10 Van Camp Ave., died Monday at Freeport Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 81.
Born in Blair, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John E. Cassel, he farmed in New Hamburg and Saskatchewan for 60 years until retiring in 1951.
Surviving besides his wife, the former Nellie Mitchell, are two sons, John W., of Winnipeg and Ernest of Kitchener; one daughter, Mrs. A.J. (Margaret) Burns of Watford; five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Teet of Doon, Mrs. Orpha Goddard of Brampton, Mrs. Hilda Butler and Mrs. Arthur (Gertrude) Taylor, both of Galt and Mrs. Luella Garinger of Brooksley, Sask., and nine grandchildren.
The body is at the Gruhn Funeral Home where Rev. A.E. Holley will conduct the service on Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Woodside cemetery.
