- RUMIG, Mrs. John (Laura) - At the K-W Hospital, on Friday, Jan. 31, 1975, after brief illness, Eleanor (Laura) Hummel of 270 Spadina Road East, Kitchener, formerly of New Hamburg, age 88 years. Mrs. Rumig was born near Maryhill, a daughter late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hummel, a member of St. Joseph's RC Church and resident of the Twin City area all her life.
Mrs. Rumig was predeceased by her husbands William Goebel and John Rumig; she was the last surviving member of her family; surviving are a son Ward P. Goebel of Waterloo and a stepson son Clayton Rumig of Toronto; six grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, p.m. tonight, where the parish rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Joseph's RC Church, Monday at 10 a.m The committal service will be held at the church with temporary entombment in the New Hamburg mausoleum, with burial to follow in the family plot in Riverside cemetery, New Hamburg.
Donations to the Respiratory Research Foundation may be made as expressions of sympathy.
