  Mrs. Thomas Wenzel Following an illness of only a few days, Mrs. Rose Wenzel passed away at the K-W Hospital on Sunday. She was the widow of the late Thomas Wenzel who died here three months ago. Born in Hespeler on June 6, 1874, [birth record says b. Hespeler 13 Jun 1874] she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Walmsley. Mrs. Wenzel came to New Hamburg from Waterloo 40 years ago and for ten years lived at Haysville, returning to New Hamburg five years ago. She was of the Christian Science faith. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John (Kathleen) Garland, Haysville and one daughter. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon with service at the Futher-Omand Funeral Home at 2.30 o'clock, followed by internment in Riverside Cemetery. New Hamburg Independent, March 11, 1949
