    • Mrs. Catharine Herner

      Following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Catharine Herner, 88, passed away yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Irvin Bowman, 27. Van Camp Ave.

      She was born on Oct. 28, 1857, at New Hamburg, and was a member of the Alma St. United Brethren Church, Kitchener. Her husband, Samuel S. Herner, predeceased her on Nov. 30, 1909.

      Surviving are two sons, Milton C. of Winnipeg, Man., and Moses, of Logansport, Ind., five daughters, Mrs. Irvin (Phoebe) Bowman, Kitchener, Mrs. Stanton (Sarah) Lautenschlager of Wooster, Ohio; Mrs. Harvey (Ella) Grasser, Kitchener, Enetta and Mabel of Port Elgin.

      There are 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Christian Kesselring of R.R.2, Kitchener. She was predeceased by a son, Herbert, and a daughter, Mrs. Addison (Mary) Dedels.

      The remains are at the Ratz-Bechtel funeral home, where the funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. G. A. Shepherdson, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Woodland Cemetery
