  BLOCK, Geraldine (Gerry) On November 12, 2009, Geraldine Elizabeth Block of Edson, Alberta, passed away at the age of 85 years. Gerry leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, her children, Elaine Dyck of Fanny Bay, BC, Linda (Al) Klaver of Edson, Terry (Bette) Block of Edson, Dave (Barb) Block of Abbotsford, BC, Judy (Guy) Meyer of Edson, Sandy (Ralph) Robertson of Abbotsford, BC, Allan (Sam) Block of Edson, Bev (Dave) Russell of Shining Bank, Frank (Karen Mathieson) Block, Charlie (Keith) Nelson of Camrose, and Albert (Alaine) Paulin of Edson. Gerry also leaves 59 grandchildren and 52 greatgrandchildren as well as one brother and one sister in Kitchener, Ontario. Gerry was predeceased by her husband Del on October 12, 2004, her parents John and Freida Frank, three brothers, two grandchildren Rodney and Crystal and one great-grandchild Ashley. Funeral Services for Gerry will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Joe Wynne Branch #51, Royal Canadian Legion in Edson. Cremation will follow this service. In lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta and N.W.T. 10985 - 124 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5M 0L9 or to the charity of choice in memory of Geraldine Block.
