    • The death of a much esteemed resident of Blandford Township in the person of George Skillings took place about 12 p.m. on Sunday night. Deceased was born on the adjoining farm nearly sixty-two years ago and with the exception of about nine years spent in farming on the 11th Concession, Blandford, had lived continuously on the 7th Concession. Nearly 34 years ago he was united in marriage to Maria Hagey, who survives with a family of three sons and two daughters. They are: Peter and Charles on the homestead, James S. Skillings of Woodstock, Mrs. Thomas Matheson and Mrs. Herbert Hilderly, both of Innerkip...

      The late Mr. Skillings had been in failing health for some months, but had been to Innerkip village the day he was stricken with a paralytic stroke, the Thursday prior to his death. Of a family of seven brothers, and one sister, only one sister, Mrs. John Lock, of Woodstock, and one brother, Matthias, of Kintore, are left.
