  ALLAN, James Reid - Peacefully at the Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Monday January 19, 1998 in his 87th year. James Allan of Cambridge, beloved husband of Ella Allan (nee Bender). Dear father of Dr. Douglas Allan and his wife Lois of Cambridge, David Allan and his wife Barbara of St. Catharines, and Donald Allan and his wife Barbara of Cambridge and predeceased by a daughter Patricia (1948). Dear grandfather of Amy, Kendra, Mitchell, Reid, Krisitina, Alissa, Dustin, Daniel and Breanne, and great grandfather of Carina. Brother of Alex Allan of Toronto and Betty Christie of Elora and predeceased by a brother Jack Allan. Mr. Allan retired from CMC after 37 years of service, a member of First United Church and served the church as an Elder, Choir Member and Past Superintendent of the Sunday School. Past Master of the Masonic Lodge AF and AM, Alma Lodge. Friends will be received at Little's Funeral Home, 223 Main Street East, Cambridge on Tuesday evening (tonight) 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services to be conducted at First United Church, Wellington Street, Cambridge on Wednesday January 21st, 1998 at 3: 00 p.m. with Reverend's Hilary and Robert Merritt officiating. Interment Mount View Cemetery. Remembrances to First United Church, 15 Wellington Street, Cambridge N1R 3Y4, St. Lukes Place, 1624 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge N3C 3P4 or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
