Notes - ALLARDYCE - Colleen Kimberley, in her 4th year, suddenly after her brave struggle against a very aggressive cancer and a two month remission, protected and cherished she died in our arms at McMaster Hospital Hamilton on Monday June 24, 1991. Beloved daughter of Gord and Linda (nee Verkaik) and special sister to big brother Richard. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandmother Dorothy Allardyce (Nanny) and grandparents Ed and Betty Verkaik (Opa and Oma). She will dearly be missed by her aunts and uncles, Tina and Walt Coupland, Cora and Al Fritzley, Ruby and Rick Lowes, Cindy and Mike Ellis, Ed and Rudy Verkaik and Robin and Brenda Allardyce and cousins Scott, Nicole, Danielle, Eric, Steven, Paul, Mathew, Michael, Sean, Christopher, Tim, Heather and Laura. Our family is forever grateful to the Doctors and Nurses of 3B and caring families of the I.C. Unit of McMaster University Hospital, especially Dr. Pai, Dr. Langer, Nurse Jennifer and Dr. Hankinson of Cambridge for their loving and patient care of our spunky little Colleen. Our gratitude to Rick Neglia of Newmarket, Dan and Chris Hayhoe of Cambridge and Social Worker Bill Ratz. Friends will be received at Coutts and Son Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews Street Cambridge Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 1 hour prior to service time. Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment New Hope Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to McMaster University Hospital Ward 3B would be appreciated by the family.
