  ALLEN, Elmer Benjamin: Of Lowell Street, Cambridge at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Wednesday April 22, 1998 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late Elinor Mabel (Reid) Allen and dear father of David Allen and wife Becky of Cambridge. Also survived by his sister Myrtle Elgie and by his grandsons Benjamin and Wesley Allen. Elmer Allen was a long time resident of Cambridge and was a retired butcher with Leaders Food Land. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends on Friday April 24, 1998 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday April 25, 1998 at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev. Lee Haughton officiating. Interment in Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
