Notes - ALLMAN, George Laverne "Poddy": of Dunbar Rd., Cambridge, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Friday February 20, 1998 after a brave fight with cancer, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, George Allman in his 71st year. Beloved father of Linda Stumpf and her husband Gary, Brenda Walker and her husband Leo, all of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of Kimberly, Angela, Geoffrey, Jodi and Todd, and great grandfather of Brooke-Lyne and Kaileigh. Dear brother of Ivan and John, both of Stratford, and Doreen McGuinness of Glencoe. Mr. Allman was predeceased by his parents George and Margaret Allman, as well as his sisters Ruth Allman and Phylis Holliday, and his brother William Allman. Arrangements entrusted to Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge where the family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday February 25, 1998 at 1: 00 p.m., Rev. Gord Griggs officiating. Inurnment[sic] Memory Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the C.M.H. Medical Day Care (Palliative Care) would be appreciated by the family.
