- UNDERWOOD, Ira S. At the K-W Hospital, on Monday, Feb. 9, 1976, after a brief illness, Ira S. Underwood, of 247 Franklin St. N., formerly of Walter Street, aged 92 years.
Mr. Underwood was born near Bloomingdale, son of the late John Underwood and the former Lavina Saltzbury. A resident of the Twin City area all of his life and a member of Calvary United Church. Mr. Under- wood was a letter carrier with the Kitchener Post Office for many years.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Margaret Strub, in April, 1951; by a daughter, Mrs. Grace Ringle in 1945 and by two sisters and four brothers. Surviving are three sons, E. J. (Buck), Route 1, Mar, W. I. (Bill), J. E. (Jack), both of Kitchener; two daughters, Marvel (Mrs. Harry Armitage), Meaford and Marguerite (Mrs. Paul Colombo), Waterloo; a brother Milo Underwood of Kitchener; 16 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; four great- great-grandchildren also survive.
Friends may call at the Ratz- Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, Funeral and committal service in the chapel Wednesday, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Bruce E. Seebach officiat- ing. Interment Woodland cemetery.
Donations to the memorial fund of the church may be made as expressions of sympathy.
