  Obituary of Bruce Charles Reiner It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bruce Reiner announce his peaceful passing on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 69. Cherished and beloved husband of Ruth-Ann (nee Geisel) Reiner, married for 37 years. Loving father of Michael, David (2000), Danny and Jamie (Danielle). Dear grandfather of Charlie, Emery and grand puppy Ryley. Dear brother-in-law of Andrew and Mary-Jane (nee Geisel) Hainsworth, and Carol Reiner. Will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mildred (nee Brandt) and William Reiner. Brother William Reiner, his in-laws Theresa (nee Toffing) and Doug Geisel. As a young man, he was raised on a farm in St. Agatha, and he was instilled with a strong work ethic, working many hours with his older brother Bill. After moving to the city, he worked for many years with Belmont Produce (Dutch Boy). He continued his working years with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, taking a position as a custodian and retiring after 25 years of service. Bruce lived a life filled with passion, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones. He grew up with an insatiable love for sports, a passion that would shape his character and friendships throughout his life. Along with a friend, Bruce developed and ran the Outlaws Roller Hockey League in Waterloo from the late 90s into the early 2000s. In his later years Bruce enjoyed golfing with friends. He was a loyal Toronto Maple Leafs, LA Dodgers and LA Rams fan. Whether he was cheering from the stands or participating as a coach for his son's teams, his enthusiasm for athletics was infectious, and he inspired many with his sportsmanship and dedication. Family meant everything to Bruce. He was a devoted husband to Ruth-Ann, and a pillar of strength and love. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and endless support. A proud father to his children they were his pride and joy. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was attending their sports games, celebrating their many achievements, or simply sharing stories. As a grandfather, he showered his granddaughters and grand puppy with love, spoiling them with affection and laughter. Bruce and Ruth-Ann loved camping with their sons and many friends over the years including visits to Ontario Provincial parks, cottage weekends and road trips across Canada and the US. He also explored many Caribbean islands. But perhaps Bruce's most enduring legacy lies in his commitment to helping others. He possessed a generous heart and an innate ability to uplift those in need. Whether it was lending a listening ear, offering a helping hand, or volunteering his time for various charitable causes, he made a positive impact on the lives of many. His kindness and compassion knew no bounds, and his legacy of selflessness will continue to inspire others. Bruce's final act of kindness was in the form of a donation to the Trillium Gift of Life, providing eyesight for two recipients in need. He was a "Bruce of all Trades" and truly did things in his own way at his own pace. We love you "Turbo". A special thank you to the team of First Responders, Dr. Kruisellbrink, Dr. Manion, Dr. Syed and the cardiac ICU team at St. Mary's General Hospital A Celebration of Bruce's life will be held at the 404 K-W Wing, 510 Dutton Drive, Waterloo on Friday, June 7th, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
