  SAD DEATH IN STRATFORD - Mr. Moses Knechtel, Until Recently of Berlin, Passed Away on Friday. WAS HIGHLY ESTEEMED The sad intelligence of the death of Mr. Moses Knechtel, until recently a citizen of Berlin, which took place at the Stratford Hospital on Friday evening, after a brief but severe illness, has been received in Berlin. About a week ago the deceased contracted a heavy cold, and two days later pleurisy set in. On Wednesday evening he was removed to the hospital and in some unaccountable manner blood poisoning developed at the back of the neck. With these complications the doctors held out no hope for his recovery, and the Grim Reaper ended his sufferings last evening. The late Mr. Knechtel was connected with the rubber business in Berlin during the last five years and for several years he was foreman of the shipping department of the Merchants Rubber Co., until Sept. 1st, when he severed his connection with the firm to enter a shoe business in the Classic City. Last week he sold his beautiful residence on Water street and his family moved to Stratford. Previous to coming to Berlin, the deceased was a cheesemaker by trade and was engaged in various industries in Perth county. During his residence in Berlin the deceased made many friends who will sympathize with the family in their sudden and irreparable bereavement. Besides the widow, three children survive, Henry, of Berlin, and Leslie and a young daughter at home. The funeral will take place in Stratford on Monday afternoon, and representatives of the rubber factory in Berlin will attend. Unidentified Newspaper Obituary
