  SOLOMON, Russell Joseph - Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Friday, June 18, 1999, after a brief illness, at the age of 72 years. Loving husband and best friend of Kathryn (nee Hickson) for over 52 years. Much loved father of Dianne Awender and her husband Lenny Musselman and Judy Blackman and her husband Aubyn, all of Waterloo and Barbara Reichert and her husband Ken of London. Cherished grandfather of Brent Voll. Cheri and Christopher Awender, Sonia, Barry and Tasha Blackman. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Martha; brother, Ken and sisters, Elaine Burkholder and Joan Seibel. Russell worked as custodian for the Waterloo County Separate School Board for over 20 years retiring in 1991 from St. Michael's School and later from St. Louis School where he worked part time. He was an avid hockey fan (Habs) and gardener. He loved family get-togethers and enjoyed daily gatherings with his friends. - Note: Photo included with Obit. See image file.
