  KNECHTEL, Richard Peacefully, at Central Park Lodge, Kitchener, on Wednesday, March 24, 1993, Richard Knechtel, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Nellie (Wolfe) Knechtel, dear father of Mrs. Ralph (Grace) Wettlaufer of Tavistock. Mrs. Bill (Dawn) Ralston of Waterloo; Richard and his wife Nancy Knechtel of Tavistock, Mrs. James (Virginia) Darriggan of Cornerbrook, Newfoundland.; cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 16 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Olivia Cober of New Hamburg, Myra Motheral of Brantford, Irene Tschumi of Kitchener and Joseph Knechtel of Breslau. Also survived by step-brothers, Jacob Knechtel of Kitchener and step-sisters, Ester Burkhardt of Kitchener, Ella Fleming of Kitchener and Ruth Glasford of Kitchener. Predeceased by brothers, Clarence and Bill and a sister, Agnes Knechtel. The family will receive friends at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S., (at Westmount Road). Kitchener, (743-8900) today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Complete funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Bill Pipke of Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly officiating. A private family interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery will take place next week.
