  SCHAEFER, Ada (Mrs. Oliver)\emdashPeacefully, on Friday, June 11, 1999, at Grindstone Creek Manor, Waterdown, Ada (Schmermund) Schaefer, in her 88th year, of Elmira. Beloved wife of the late Oliver Schaefer (1984). Loving mother of Graham and Marie Schaefer of Burlington; dear grandmother of Gregory, Laura, Leslie and Amanda and great-grandmother of Joshua. Sister of Roy Schmermund and Irma Brulotte, both of Alberta. Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Philippina Schmermund and two brothers, Gordon and John. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira for funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wendell Grahlman officiating followed by interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
