  • Notes
    • Mr. Currie - Mr. Currie was a Reformer in politics and a Presbyterian in religion, being a member of Knox United Church. His partner in life was Agnes Pringle, who predeceased him some years. A family of five were born to them - two of whom, Isabell and William, have passed on before. Those living are Mrs. Geo. Swan sr., Ayr; Mrs. Margaret Bell, Galt; and Mrs. Robert Smuck, South Dumfries. A brother and sister, Peter Currie and Mrs. Christie (Toronto), also survive. Interment was made in the Ayr cemetery yesterday, the funeral being very largely attended. Rev. J. J. Brown conducted the services, and the pallbearers were principally grandchildren, viz., Currie Smuck, John, Ewart and James Bell, Robert Smuck and George H. Lawrence.
