  SAPSWORTH, Arthur Thomas (Art) • Passed away peacefully, at K- W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Monday February 4, 2008, age 77 years. Arthur was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Kitchener for 55 years. Arthur was born in Doon and was a life long resident. He spent his life working at Doon Twines/Canada Cordage for 43 years. Loving husband of Norma (nee Holtzhauer) for 54 years. Dear father of Joyce and her husband David Schnurr of Damascus and Arthur and his wife Andrea Sapsworth of Stayner. Will be missed by his loving grandchildren, Courtney, Hilary and Derrel Schnurr, John and Robert Sapsworth and a great-grandson, Richard Sapsworth. Survived by his brother, James and his wife Anne Sapsworth of Preston (Cambridge) and his sister, Isabel and her husband, Ken Lee of Govan, Saskatchewan. Brother in-law of Vera Holtzhauer and the late Earl Holtzhauer, Fern Scherer and the late Leo Scherer, Lizzie Holtzhauer and the late Lloyd Holtzhauer, James Ayres and the late Anna Mae Ayres, Jack and Greta Holtzhauer and Joan and Orville Mader and many nieces and nephews. At Arthur's request cremation has taken place. A public memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Chapel on Saturday February 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Malina officiating.
