- RUBY, Lydia Lydia Ruby of Greenwood Court, 90 Greenwood Drive Stratford, passed away peacefully at her residence, formerly of Philipsburg, on January 1, 2007, at the age of 94 years.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley R. Ruby (1979) and her son Keith S. Ruby (1985). Loving mother to Mary Lou Ruby Jonas of Stratford and mother-in-law to Isobel Ruby of Waterloo. Proud and loving Grandma to Greg (Kimberlee) Jonas of Mississauga, Steve Jonas of New Hamburg, Doug (Jen) Jonas of Cambridge, Fiona (Mike) Roth Waterloo, Stephanie (Chad) Holleman of Michigan, Alan Ruby of Waterloo and Gillian Ruby of Waterloo. Precious Great-Grandma to Ethan, Casey, Reid, Carter, Kaitlyn, Molly, Karley, Tyler, Michael and Luke. Predeceased by her parents Dan and Mary (Yoder) Schwartzentruber, sister Erma (Elmer) Baechler (1986), and her brother Dan Schwartzentruber (1950). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
She taught us all there is to know about loving, hospitality and accepting others.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Lydia with her family at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg today (Wednesday, January 3) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and at Greenwood Court Chapel in Stratford on Thursday, January 4 from 1-2 p.m. A funeral ser- vice will be held at Greenwood Court Chapel, Stratford on Thursday, January 4 at 2 p.m. A reception will immediately follow. Interment will be at First Mennonite Church, 800 King Street East Kitchener.
We loved you and will miss you dearly. We have many fond memories that we will always treasure. You are in the hands of God and in our hearts forever. A sincere thank you is extended to the staff of Greenwood Court for all your care and support.
