  ANDREWS, Dr. Alan E. - Passed away peacefully in his 92nd year. Alan was born in St. Mary's Ontario. He obtained his Optometry Degree from the University of Toronto and later his doctorate from the University of Waterloo. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, stationed at Petawawa Ontario where he served his country with great pride for the duration of WWII. He held the rank of Sergeant in charge of Vision Care. He was predeceased by his wife Jean Strachan who he married in 1943. He leaves his three daughters Jane Sloggett of Toronto, ON, Betty Andrews of Paris, ON and Janet Varner and son in law Dave Varner of Listowel, ON. He was the proud grandfather of Elizabeth and Scott Sloggett, Jenny and Kelly Pelz and the very proud great grandfather of Quinnlyn Jennifer Snively. A private service of remembrance will be held.
