- HORNSBY Ellen Elizabeth - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her daughter and son-in-law's home in St. George on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at age 90 years, Ellen Elizabeth "Nellie" Hornsby nee Ash; daughter of the late Margaret and Thomas Ash; beloved wife of the late George W. Hornsby; much loved and caring mother of Arthur Sue Hornsby, St. George; Virginia Eagleton, Brantford; Dawn John Haw, St. George and Sandra Johnson, Burford; predeceased by her son Kenneth and his wife Mable and by son-in-law James Eagleton. Ellen is also loved by 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Ellen was the eldest of nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by brothers Ray Blanche Ash, Stratford; Keith Helen Ash, Cambridge; Ralph Helen Ash, Cambridge and sisters Mary Guest, Mississauga and Marjorie Reynolds, Georgetown; predeceased by sisters Ruby Arthurs and Lillian Bellamy and brothers Edwin and Kenneth and grandson Roy Hornsby. She will be sadly missed by her good neighbours Linda and Al Osborne and Ron and Dianne Silverthorne.
Visitation at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, NORTH CHAPEL, 495 Park Road North Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Funeral Service in the Chapel Tuesday at 10:30 a. m. Interment in St. George Cemetery. Memorial donations to thecCanadian Cancer Society or your favourite charity gratefully appreciated
