Notes - ASTRIDGE, Harvey Alfred - After a lengthy illness at the Hilltop Manor, Cambridge on Saturday, September 18, 1999 in his 78th year. Harvey Astridge of Cambridge, born and raised in the Barrie area, husband of the former Dorothy Oxtoby for fifty four years. Dear father of Richard & friend Kathleen Janes of Port Stanley, Cathy Higgins & her husband Paul of Cambridge and predeceased by an infant son (1951). Grandfather of Jonathan Astridge, Craig & Rachel Higgins. Brother of Emerson, Kenneth, Douglas, Freda Weatherup, all of Barrie, Gwen Colwell of Angus, and predeceased by a sister Thelma Birch. Harvey served with the R.C.A.F., Fighter Squadron #129 "The Huskies". Funeral Services were conducted at Trinity Anglican Church, Cambridge on Monday (today), September 20, 1999, Rev. Robert Skelding officiated. Committal and Interment Services will be conducted at Guthrie Cemetery, Guthrie, Ontario on Tuesday, September 21, 1999 at 2: 00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Trinity Memorial Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Little's Funeral Home, Cambridge (519) 623-1290.
