AVELAR, Manuel Fereira: Of Concession St., Cambridge, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 30, 1997, Manuel Avelar in his 85^th year. Beloved husband of the late Maria Da Luz Cordeiro and loving father of Maria Clotilde Verissimo and her husband Jose Correia Verissimo of Cambridge. Dear brother of Julio Avelar and his wife Maria, Maria Oliveira and her husband Joao, and Maria Louis Cordeira and her husband Jose, all of Cambridge. Mr. Avelar rested at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family received friends on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday (today) September 1, 1997 at 10: 00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Father A. Cunha celebrant. Interment Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. A Parish Rosary was recited at the Funeral Home on Monday evening.
