  ASHBY - Mrs. Lucy Beatrice passed away on Sunday, December 18th, 1988 at Metropolitan Hospital Windsor. Beatrice Axford formerly of Drew Avenue in her 67th year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Charles Ashby (1985). Dear mother of Richard of British Columbia, Lyn (Mrs. Joseph Fenech) of Windsor. Dear sister of Orley Axford, John Campbell, George Axford, Mrs. Henri Gadner. Also survived by 6 grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Clara Parry, Peggy Wingrove and Vera. Mrs. Ashby was born on March 19th, 1922 at North Walsingham, Ontario and has been a resident of Cambridge most of her life. Resting at Coutts and Son Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street where the family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Private family services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 21st with Reverend William Bickford officiating.
