- BAKER, Alfred William (Bill) - On November 7, 1995 at Hilltop Nursing Home in his 83rd year. Dearly loved husband of Peggy (nee Lovatt) and loved father of Janet Smith and husband Brian of Stittsville and Christine Simeonoff and husband Simeon of Vancouver Island, 6 grandchildren, Duane, Linda, Susan, Jerry, Michael, and Stephen and 5 great grandchildren. Bill was born in Kingston-on-Thomas, London, England, educated in New York City and for many ears associated with the Boy Scouts of America and Canada; a former member of Lincoln Avenue United Church and a retired draughtsman with Westinghouse and later the University of Waterloo. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Private interment at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. Arrangements entrusted to Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge. Donations to Remembrance may be made to the Cambridge Memorial Hospitals "Tree of Caring." Grateful thanks to the wonderful staff of Hilltop Manor who took care of Bill for the last two years. Rest in Peace.
