- BAPTISTA, Manuel Chaves - Of Taylor Crt., Cambridge, at his residence on Monday, September 23, 1996, Manuel Baptista in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Natalia (nee Monteiro), and dear father of Noela Vorsteveld and her husband Johannes of Cambridge, Lucia Cresswell and her husband David of Waterloo, and Elden and his wife Kim of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren. Dear brother of Antonio and his wife Angelina of Arlington, Mass., USA, Maria Chaves and her husband Jose, Virginia Andrade and her husband Antonio, and Maria doCarmo Tavares and her husband Jose, all of Cambridge. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Laudalina of Santa Maria, Portugal, and Pat of Cambridge. Mr. Baptista was predeceased by his brothers Jose, Joao and Alberto, and his sister Maria da Gloria. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday (today) form 204 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church on Wednesday, September 25, 1996 at 11: 30 am, Father A. Cunha celebrant. Interment Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. A Parish Rosary will be recited in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday evening at 7: 30 pm.
