  THOMSON - Joan Roberta, passed away in Picture Butte on Tuesday, November 16th, 1982 at the age of 45 years, beloved wife of Fred Thomson of Picture Butte. Mrs. Thomson was born in Kitchener, Ontario on April 27th, 1937. She came to Alberta in 1968 to Lethbridge where she worked for the Bank of Commerce until health forced her to retire. She moved to Picture Bulle in 1977 where she has since resided. Besides her husband Fred, she is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. William (Joan Marie) Bier of Stirling, Alberta; a son, Patrick Thomson of Picture Butte; her father, Alex Gilbert and his wife Margaret of Morrisburg, Ontario; Karen Brown of Montreal; a brother, John Gilbert of Lethbridge; and a sister, Judith McQuaig of St. Catherines, Ontario.
