  BARNES, Gideon Matthew - Aged 37, on November 23, 2003, at his home in Nanaimo, BC. Gideon died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was dearly loved by his wife Vanassa, step-daughter Amber, parents, Janet and Colin, sister's Kathryn, Sarah and brother Simon and their families. He will also be missed by his in-laws George and Joan. His nieces and nephews will remember happy times spent with their uncle. Gideon was always gentle, kind, generous of spirit with a wonderful love of nature. A service to celebrate his life will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Cambridge on Thurs., Dec 4 at 7: 00 pm. At Gideon's request, on Sat. Dec 6 family and friends are invited to attend a gathering at his parent's home from 2: 00 pm onward to share our many memories of this special, courageous young man.
