• Notes

  Another pioneer of this neighborhood passed away on Wednesday in the person of Mr. Frederick Wettlaufer, at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 25 days. He had been ill for the past six months. Deceased was born in North Easthope, where he spent his entire life, residing at the time of his death on a farm about a mile west of this village. He was a true adherent of the Lutheran faith and was highly respected by all who knew him. He was married to Miss Catherine Berg, who with one son and two daughters is left to mourn his death. The children are: (Anna) Mrs. Daniel Seyler, and (Leah) Mrs. David Seyler, of Philipsburg, and Jacob B. Wettlaufer on the homestead. The funeral will take place on Saturday afternoon at 1: 30 o'clock from the late residence to the Philipsburg church for service, thence to the Philipsburg cemetery.
