  Mrs. E. b. Erb, 95, IODE Veteran, Dies Mrs. Ephraim B. Erb, 95, a prominent member of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the empire for 50 years, died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital. She lived at Parkwood Manor, Cardinal Crescent South, Waterloo. She was the oldest local member of an IODE chapter, and recently was awarded a 50-year badge of honor for her work from the Princess of Wales chapter, oldest in the Twin Cities. Mrs. Erb became a member of the chapter during the First World War, and was active in its organizational work during both wars. She was a former regent of the chapter, and a life member. She was instrumental in organizing the purchase of the Queen Victoria monument in Victoria Park. Mrs. Erb was also a board member of the Canadian national Institute for the Blind, a life member of the Red Cross Society, a member of the Silver Cross Women and the Victorian Order of Nurses, and active in the work of Parkminster United Church. Until recently, she was still attending IODE and Silver Cross Women meetings. She was the former Lillian Harrison Lee, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick Lee, and a native of London, England. She came to Canada when she was 16, and married in Kitchener in 1891. Surviving are two sons, Carl and Irvin of Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. Armand (Margaret( Schreiter of Kitchener, Mrs. Hogarth (Olive) Bennett of Galt, and Mrs. Duncan (Betty) Douglass of Waterloo, 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her husband and a son, Harry, predeceased her. The body is at the Sandrock Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday by Rev. A. E. Holley.
