- BEVAN, Richard William - Passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, with dignity and bravery following his illness. Richard Bevan at the age of 65. Loving husband of Wendy Bevan (nee Underwood). Beloved father of Steven Bevan (Sherry), Arlene Bevan, Chris Malleck and Kevin Malleck. Cherished grandpa of Tasha, Mackenzie, Nickolas, Avery, Hannah, Madeline and Molly. Richard is survived by his brothers, Bruce (Gail), Jim (Donna); nieces and nephews, Claire, Mark, Dean (Char), Dennis (Lori), Susan (Steve), Lisa (Dave), John (Beth), Tim (Jennifer); great-nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, William 'Harry' and Margaret Bevan (nee Watson). He was employed with Union Gas for 41 years prior to retirement in 1999. Richard will be remembered by many, many friends. He was well known, well respected and will truly be missed by all who knew him. There will be a celebration of Richard's life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 126, Preston, on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 1-5 p.m. In Richard's memory, expressions of sympathy made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Oncology Unit or charity of choice would be appreciated. The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Medical Daycare, especially Gwen and Natalie to Dr. Cowing and Dr. Nykamp, your care and kindness is appreciated more than words can express.
