- On Sunday, Nov. 3, 1991, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Reuben resided in New Hamburg and was formerly of RR 1, New Hamburg. He was born in Wilmot township 85 years ago, a son of the late Abraham and Leah (nee Roth) Gingerich. He was a member of the Steinman Mennonite Church, RR 1, Baden, and had been a volunteer at the Self-Help, New Hamburg. He was a member of the Especially for Seniors, Baden. Beloved husband of Fanny Kennel, whom he married November 28, 1934. Lovingly remembered by his children, Ray and his wife Bertha of Kitchener, Erma Bajusz of Windsor, Selma and her husband David Webster of Cambridge, Laverne and his wife Marjorie of RR 2, Baden, Leighton and his wife Donna of RR 2, Petersburg, Glen and his wife Darlene of New Hamburg, and Esther and her husband Glenn Buck of Gorrie. Sadly missed by 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Rudy and his wife Edna of Baden; four sisters, Adeline and her husband Ezra Gerber of RR 1, Millbank, Sarah and her husband Allen Wagler of Baden, Mrs. Almeda (Eldon) Wagler of RR 2, Baden, Melinda and her husband Harold Hofstetter of RR 2, Petersburg. He was predeceased by two sons in infancy. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Yutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 7 pm. today (Monday) and until Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1991 at noon, when transfer will be made to Steinman Mennonite Church for the service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Fred Lichti officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
