______________
MRS. H. K. SNYDER
Passed Away Friday Afternoon After Illness of Several Months.
The death of a highly respected resident of Waterloo Township occurred on Friday afternoon at o'clock in the person of Rebecca, wife of Mr. Henry K. Snyder, after an illness extending over several months. Last May she suffered paralytic stroke, since which time she had been unwell and a week ago Tuesday suffered a second stroke and had since been in a critical condition.
Deceased was born near Waterloo Sept. 22nd, 1841, and was married to Mr. Henry K. Snyder July 24. 1864, and resided just outside the corporation limits of Waterloo. A family of five children blessed the union, three of whom survive, viz: Sarah, (Mrs. J. Bruegeman), Ira, and Truman, all of Waterloo.
Deceased was a faithful and consistent member of the Evangelical church for many years. The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence to the Evangelical church for service, thence to Mount Hope cemetery for interment.
We extend our sympathy to the bereaved.
