The Executors named in said Will and which Will was written in the German language and annexed a translation thereof into English duly certified by a notary Public and which translation is in the words following, namely :
Last Will and Testament of Joseph Greyerbiehl…I Joseph Greyerbiehl, Farmer, of the Township of Wilmot, do hereby make and order this my Last Will and Testament in kind and manner following : 1st It is my Will and therefore order that all my just debts and Claims shall be paid ; and all unions and notes in my possession, as also all book accounts shall be collected in due time. 2nd It is my Will that my wife Maria, a born Guillart, shall have the benefit and use of all my moveable and immoveable property as long as she lives and as long as she remains my widow ; but should she marry again, then the benefit and use of my property shall be totally withdrawn from her, and only so much shall be given to her as she can claim by the law of the land. 3rd It is my Will that all my property shall remain together and be not divided until my youngest child has obtained her lawful age. Thereafter all my sons, namely, Joseph, Johannes, Paul, Peter, Jacob and Wilhelm shall hold auction among themselves and then the lands shall fall to the highest bidder, but with the remark that if my sons should wish to have the land for under the price then my sons in law shall also have the right to purchase the land, but only when they actually are no sons-in-law. 4th It is my will that the proceeds of my property (but not until after the decease of my widow) shall be divided among all my children, namely, Joseph, Catharine, Maria, John, Paul, Peter, Jacob, Otilia, Wilhelm, and Magdalena, and in manner that one gets as much as the other. 5th It is my Will that my children again among themselves, when and how [large?] the installments shall be which the one that purchases the land has to pay. 6th It is my Will that my son-in-law Wilhelm Maurer, and my son Joseph shall be the Executors of this my Will and authorize them in my name to do all what they may deem necessary….
