    • Mrs. Frederick J. Weppler

      Mrs Frederick J. Weppler, a patient at the Scott Pavilion of Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital for the past six years and formerly of Conestogo for 62 years, died Monday of last week at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital. She was 93.

      The former Matilda Augusta Engel, she was born March 23, 1876 in Waterloo and was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs. Adam Engel. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Conestogo.

      She was predeceased by her husband in August 1964; three daughters, Gertrude, Margaret and Clara, and a son, Henry. Surviving are one son, Frederick C., RR 2, Petersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Wilhelmine) Heipel, Waterloo, and Mrs. Florence Merkley, Kitchener; one brother, Julius, New Dundee; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Marsh, Royal Oak, Mich.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

      Funeral service was held at St Matthew's Lutheran Church, Conestogo, Rev. Harold Brill and Rev. Adolph Kappes officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery on Thursday.
