At Riverbend Place, Cambridge on Wednesday, July 3, 1996, in his 78th year. Fred Robbins is the dear father of Major Harold Robbins and his wife Ellen of Halifax, N.S., Don of Sidney, N.S., Linda and her husband Frank Ward of Newfoundland, Woodrow and his wife Nora of Cambridge and Sylvia Koehler of Cambridge. Loved grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Raymond of Cambridge, Clarence of Newmarket, Neta Andrews of N.S. and Ruby O'Brien of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by Rose Koehler's family, Wayne, Larry, Rick, Jerry, Elizabeth and Jimmy and her 8 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Sarah Dorothy (nee Hibbs), his second wife, Rose Koehler, 1 grandson Colin Ward, 1 brother Harold and 3 sisters; Dorothy, Edna and Lillian. Mr. Robbins was a retired employee of Canadian General Tower and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Cambridge. He was a volunteer at the Sunshine Home in Kitchener and a member of the Salvation Army. Friends will be received at COUTTS & SON FUNERAL HOME, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, on Friday (today), from 7 - 9 p.m. and Saturday, from 2 -4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Sunday, July 7, 1996, at 2: 30 p.m., with Major Robert Speakman officiating. Interment, Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
