    • COMMITTED SUICIDE BY HANGING

Henry Grein, Former Milk Dealer, Takes His Own Life This Morning

Henry Grein, well known as a former milk dealer, committed suicide this morning by hanging. The deed is attributed to a mental aberration brought, on by an illness dating back about three years, resulting from a kick by a horse. He resided about a mile and a quarter outside Waterloo, on Erb:Street. Henry Grein arose early this morning and left the house. He was found about seven o'clock by his son George, hanging dead in one of the outbuildings. Coroner J. H. Webb was called and decided that the case was plainly one of suicide and that an inquest would be unnecessary. He was of the opinion that the deceased had been dead between three and four hours. The victim of his own hand is survived by his wife Mary and four sons, Fred L., Martin, George and Henry. He was born in Waterloo on july 6th, 1861 and had lived here all his life. He was born on the old homestead on Menno Street, now occupied by Fred L. Grein. Arrangments have not yet been, completed.
