- MANSKE, William Carl - Died at Freeport Hospital, June 22, 1983, aged 88, formerly of Spadina Road East.
He helped to build the B.F. Goodrich plant on King Street West and was one of the employees retiring in 1958, a member of the hockey team, winners of the Alan Cup in 1918; involved in Twin City baseball for many years and served in the Army Overseas in the First World War.
Husband of the late Gertrude Plate (December 1982). Survived by daughter, Marjorie and husband Stanley Hallman of Waterloo; son, Bill and wife Hollis Manske of Brucefield, Ont.; six grandsons; seven great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents; sisters, Mary Kern, Ann Weseloh and brother, Otto.
