    • The death occurred on Saturday evening, June 23rd, of Mr. Johann Krueger, at the advanced age of 82 years, 10 months and 10 days. Deceased was born in 1823 at Zarraen, Mecklemburg-Schween, and came to this country when a young man. He was one of the pioneers of the town of Waterloo, having lived there for nearly fifty years.

      Death of Aged Resident

      Mr. Johann Krueger Passed Away on Saturday - A Resident of Waterloo for Many Years

      One of the pioneer residents of Waterloo passed away on Saturday evening at 8.30 o'clock in the person of Mr. Johann Krueger, Herbert Street, at the ripe old age of 82 years, 10 months and 10 days.

      Deceased had been ill for several years, but was only confined to his bed two days previous to his death. He had been living retired for the last fifteen or twenty years.

      The late Mr. Krueger was born in Zettaen, Mecklenburg-Schwerein, Germany, and came to Waterloo when a young man, where he has resided for upwards of fifty years. Deceased was one of the oldest members of St. John's Lutheran Church.

      He is survived by a wife and large family. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, from his late residence, Herbert St., to St. John's Lutheran Church for service, thence to Mount Hope Cemetery for interment.
