  FERGUSON, Abigail (Gail) (nee Durnford) Passed away peacefully, at Sunnyside Home, on Saturday, May 20, 2006, at the age of 82. Loving wife of Walter Ferguson for 63 years. Beloved mother of James, Walter (Judy), Barbara Thomson (Alex) of Cambridge and Eric (Holly) of Caledonia. Loving grandmother of ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Gail was the youngest of six children of Esau and Edith Durnford, who came to Hespeler from Francois, Newfoundland, in 1928. Gail was predeceased by her parents; daughter-in-law, Sylvia; brothers, Bob, George and John and sister, Dora Burdett. Survived by her brother, Cecil (Reta). Gail worked at Dominion Woolens during the Second World War, after that she was content to stay at home and raise her family. She worked with handicapped children, at a nursery school and taught them swimming at the YMCA. She later volunteered at St. Luke's Place. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends today (Tuesday), 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 520 Ellis Road, Cambridge, on Wednesday, May 24, at 11 a.m. Visitation at the church will take place from, 10-11 a.m., before the service.
