Notes - ELIZABETH (BETTY) SCHWEITZER March 27, 1950 - May 11, 2009 It is with such sadness that the family announces the passing of a beautiful wife, loving mother and truly caring grandmother. Betty passed away at St. Mary's Hospital on May 11, 2009 at the age of 59. She fought long enough to spend Mother's Day with her family. She leaves behind her husband, Jim; her children, Melanie (Jeremy), Matt (Michlynn) and Meaghan (Tony); as well as her grandchildren, Mitchell, Connor, Timothy, Jake, Liam, Emma and Neve. Also survived by her sister, Diann Deary (Brian); brothers, Fred Grundy (Donna) and Gerry Grundy (Pat); and very special aunts, Edith and Clara Schuett, as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Ted Grundy and Marie (Schuett); sister, Carolyn Grundy; brother, Joe Grundy; and very special uncle, Clarence Schuett. With much grace, Betty fought a long and difficult battle against Multiple Sclerosis. The family invites you to celebrate Betty's life on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at David MacLeod Funeral Home , 617 King St. N., Waterloo, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. followed by a prayer service with Father Robert Hétu in the funeral home chapel at 12 noon. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated and may be made by contacting the funeral home at 519-888-7700 or davidmacleodfuneralhome.com
