      December 2, 1922 - December 12, 2015. Of Cambridge, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 12, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in her 94th year. Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, John Fairburn, her parents, Ellen (Gatenby) and Charles Watson of Clyde, brothers; Buzz (Rose) Watson, Cambridge, George (Lenore), Fergus, sisters; Joan (Howard) Main, Sheffield, Evelyn Watson, Thunder Bay and brother-in-law, Bob McKenzie. Helen will be sadly missed by sisters; Audrey McKenzie of Lake McCullough, Marlene (Frank) Kivell of Cambridge and many loving nieces and nephews. Special grandma to Evelyn McKenzie, nephew and best pal John (Jackie) McKenzie and her faithful niece, in Courtney B.C., Jeanette (Ron) Tada. Helen was born on Dayton Street, in Galt, attended Manchester public school and enjoyed singing with the Terry Troupers, moved to the village of Clyde, with her family in 1938. She worked at Stauffer-Dobbie's then Allen Bradley's, along with her husband John. Helen and John loved making and selling dog houses, they also bought, renovated and resold houses, throughout Cambridge. Many thanks to the staff of Chartwell Queens Square, for all the love and caring you bestowed on Helen, you made her last year's, very happy. Special thanks to the staff, doctors and nurses, who looked after Helen, you gave her such wonderful care while she was in the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Last but not least her worker, her angel, Mary, Bless you! Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N., Cambridge, where family and friends, will be received for Memorial Visitation on Friday, December 18, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 11 a.m.
