On June 12th, 1987, in his 63rd year at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Charles Zimmerman beloved husband of Leona (nee Harvie). Dear father of Mrs. Gary (Wendy) Gross of Collingwood, Mrs. Doug (Cathy) Harmer of Cambridge, Joanne Zimmerman at home. Dear grandfather of Kimberley-Anne Gross, Angela and Amanda Harmer. Dear brother of Mrs. Leslie (Mary) Lamb, Mrs. Margaret Scherrer, Mrs. George (Isobel) Cooper, Mrs. William (Doreen) McMurran all of Cambridge and Mrs. Bruno (Jean) Fergin of Kitchener. He was predeceased by his father, Hamilton Zimmerman and his mother, Margaret Zimmerman-Cutting, one sister, Mrs. Elsie Burmaster and one brother Alan (Bud) Zimmerman. Mr. Zimmerman was a retired employee of Emhart Canada. He was a member of the Ontario Shoe Supervisors Allied Trades Association, a Veteran of WW II. He served overseas with the First Canadian Division. He was a member and past president of the Waterloo Wellington Branch of the War Amputations of Canada. He was a long time member of Central Presbyterian Church and serverd on the Board of Managers in 1977. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A public memorial service will take place in the Chapel of Littleās Funeral Home, 223 Main Street East, on Sunday, at 11 a.m. Cremation will take place, with private interment of ashes, to follow in Mount View Cemetery.
