      Born in Galt, Ontario, June 19, 1949, recently of Adolphustown, Ontario, passed away on March 16, 2012 in Napanee, Ontario. He was the devoted husband of Jan, proud father of Eric, Colin and Jennifer. Loving father-in-law to Margaret, Brandy and Curry. Joyful and adoring Grandfather to Cassandra, Mikaela, Emily, Kelson, Delanie, Thomas, Nicholas and Rylan. He was raised in Hespeler, Ontario, the third child of Hans and Grace Zvaniga, the brother of Patricia, Robert, Jane, Edward, and Nancy, brother-in-law to Bill, Cheryl, Richard, Sandi, Cliff, Les, and Karen, son-in-law of Alfred and Barbara Hrdlicka and a loving uncle to 35 nieces and nephews. He served Canada for 28 years, in the Royal Canadian Air Force, until his retirement in 1995, and continued thereafter in the Public Works and Government Services Canada, until 2008. Family was his source of happiness. Always welcoming and easy to laugh and smile, he was a soldier, builder, storyteller, coach, teacher, artist and friend. “He was our North, our South, our East, and West, our working week and Sunday rest, our noon, our midnight, our talk, our song, we thought he would last forever, we were wrong. Service will be on Wednesday, March 21, at 11: 00 a.m., at St. James Lutheran Church, Hespeler, Ontario, with interment at New Hope Cemetery.
