Of Lowrey Avenue, Cambridge, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, September 12, 1989, in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Mathilda (Bishop) Vokey and dear father of Glenda (Mrs. Douglas Livingstone) and Diane (Mrs. Brian Butler) both of Cambridge. Also survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Vokey of Newfoundland and 6 brothers; William, Fred, Wallace and Winston Vokey of Newfoundland and Harold and Gerald Vokey of Cambridge, 4 sisters; Daisy (Mrs. Russ Rusywick) of Arizona, Doris (Mrs. Doris Pitts) and Dorothy (Mrs. Jim Hearn) both of Newfoundland and Miss Marie Vokey of Sauble Beach. Also survived by 3 grandchildren. Predeceased by his father, John Vokey. Mr Vokey was retired from Wean United after, 18 years service and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch 126. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where friends will be received, on Wednesday (today), from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Road, Cambridge, on Thursday, September 14, 1989, at 11 a.m Interment Mount View Cemetery.
